Bahrain joins hands for youth

Royal family members, ministers, top officials and diplomats in Bahrain came forward and joined hands yesterday in honour of the Bahraini youth, marking the Bahraini Youth Day.

His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, addressed all Bahraini youngsters on their mobile phones marking Bahraini Youth Day in a text message. “Dear youth.. we celebrate the first Bahrain Youth Day.. we see in you the future.. and through you, the country prospers.. and from you projects stem.. and in your name, achievements are recorded.. because you are the hope.. Many happy returns”. “The Kingdom of Bahrain is thriving, thanks to the devotion of its youth, and moving forward on the path of development at various levels”, wrote HH Shaikh Nasser. HH Shaikh Nasser also sent email messages to all Government employees. Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi expressed pride in young competencies working at the Ministry of Information Affairs.

He praised the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for its drive to bolster the role of Bahraini youth in supporting development. Foreign Minister, Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, affirmed the ministry’s pride in its promising young cadres of diplomats and administrators, expressing his best congratulations to them on their national day.

Labour Fund’s (Tamkeen) Chief Executive Officer, Hussein Mohammed Rajab, commended the role of creative youth in honouring Bahrain across all sectors and regional and international arenas. Tamkeen, he said, has contributed to supporting around 65,000 youngsters, while “entrepreneurship support initiatives such as the “My Project (Mashru’e)” contributed to supporting nearly 1,100 participants to start their businesses.

Khaled Buanaq, Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Public Utilities and Environment Committee said Bahraini youth are the essential partners in development. “Our demands for Bahrainization of jobs in the House of Representatives reflect the great confidence we have in the abilities of the national cadres.” “We believe they should be given the opportunity and have priority in his country.” Sabah Abdul Rahman Al Zayani, the chairman of Bahrain’s Future Society for Youth, said the Kingdom has succeeded in developing strategies for youth and harnessing their potential in everything that supports development.

Dr Mushira Abu Ghali, founder and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Youth Council for Integrated Development, highlighted Bahraini youths as active participants in the Council and praised the efforts of HM the King to remain as a guiding light for youth. Yousef  Mo hammed Al-Binkhalil, the CEO of the National Communication Centre, said that Bahraini youth account for 73% of NCC’s competencies. “The day allows us to highlight the tremendous efforts exerted by Bahraini youngsters to serve the kingdom’s comprehensive development march.”
