New mosque opens in Nuwaidrat

Sunni Endowments Council Chairman Dr Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al Hajeri yesterday inaugurated the Sharefa bint Ahmed Al Mannai Mosque in Nuwaidrat.
Designed according to the traditional Bahraini style, mixed with modernity in the use of construction technology, the two-storey Sharefa bint Ahmed Al Mannai Mosque contains a 350-member men’s prayer room and a 40-member women’s prayer room, in addition to basic services.
The inauguration was within the framework of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s unwavering support for continuing the construction of mosques across all the regions in Bahrain, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Some holy Quran verses were recited. Dr Shaikh Al Hajeri delivered a statement in which he expressed the Sunni Endowments Directorate’s plans to build more houses of worship in the kingdom and open the way for donors to participate in their construction, stressing that mosques are places that strengthen fraternity and cohesion among Muslims.
He also highlighted the virtue of spending on mosques and their reconstruction, extending his thanks and appreciation to the Al Mannai family for building the mosque.
Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Manni delivered a statement in which he expressed thanks and appreciation to the Sunni Endowments Council Chairman for his remarkable efforts and prominent role in building mosques and increasing endowments.
