Bahrain authorities probe into private school food poisoning case

The Public Health Department within the Health Ministry said today that it is probing into the case of food poisoning at a private school in Bahrain after one of the parents filed a complaint.
“The probe is on into the matter. It is learnt that the children had food after participating in an activity outside the school and the food was served by a licensed restaurant,” the department said.
It added that all the affected children were stable. “The complaint is being verified by the Food Control Department in coordination with the School Health, Disease Control Division within the Ministry of Education.
The Public Health Department called on all food outlets to take all necessary measures and adhere to all health guidelines to prevent food poisoning and the need to protect citizens and residents from food poisoning.
