Under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA) and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) the "Micro Shabab" youth forum kicked off today in the presence of 1300 young people in Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Hall at the University of Bahrain.
The three-day event will feature high-ranking speakers from the public and private sectors as well as entrepreneurs who will be discussing their journeys in converting their ideas into successful projects.
On the first day of the event, a key remark was delivered by Dr Mohammed Baqer, Head of the High Committee of the Coordination Office for Khalid bin Hamad Initiatives at the University of Bahrain, while a film shedding light on the Forum was projected.
The opening session featured Osama Al Sayed, followed by a presentation entitled "The Hope Projects" provided by Khalid Al Rayes, Head of the Strategy and Programmes, and several other inspiring presentations.
"Micro Shabab keeps pace with the Royal directives to make the 2022 year for the Bahraini youth. I take this opportunity to extend thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for patronising the event and following up on all the details," President of Future Society for Youth, Subah Al Zayani, said.
"His Highness' patronage gives the Forum a great dimension to allow it to achieve the goals set out for organising it," he added, thanking Dr Jawaher Shaheen Al Mudhahki, the University of Bahrain President, for hosting the event.
