Senior teacher bids farewell to Bahrain after 26 long years of service

M S Pillai, a senior post graduate teacher at Indian School Bahrain is bidding farewell to the Kingdom after 26 years of service at the school. Mr Pillai, who is retiring as the Academic Coordinator, joined the Indian School on April 2, 1995 as a French teacher in the senior section.

He started his teaching career after obtaining his M.A. and B.Ed in French from Madurai Kamaraj University in Tamil Nadu. He worked as a lecturer in Cochin College, Mattancherry and SB Officers’ Junior College, Chennai before moving to the Kingdom.

After joining the ISB, he also served as the Head of the French Department and Head Teacher at the school. His wife is Bhagyalakshmi and the couple has two children. Raj Manohar, the eldest son, who works for an IT company, is married and settled in Chennai, India and the second son Shyam Mohan is pursuing his higher studies in Germany.
