Bahrain’s Supreme Commander His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has emphasised the importance of the strategic partnership that brings the Kingdom of Bahrain, US and UK together in all fields, particularly military, defense and security.

“This benefits our friendly countries and peoples, and we work together and in solidarity with brotherly and friendly countries to protect the security of the region and international navigation, as well as to maintain the free flow of maritime trade in the region and around the world,” HM the King said.

His Majesty yesterday visited the Royal Bahrain Naval Force(RBNF) to inaugurate the advanced new warships, marking their entry into service. The warships are Al Ghurairiah, Sakhir, Al Farooq, Jenan and Damsa.

He emphasised the new ships’ high combat potential, which reflected the Bahrain Defense Force’s significant and ongoing development of its various military assets. The Supreme Commander inspected Al Ghurairiah, met with the captain and a number of her crew, and was briefed on its cutting-edge technology and distinct efficiency, which keeps pace with the advancement of modern warships.
