Bahrain Cabinet directs ministry to ensure abundance of food for citizens and residents

The Cabinet has directed the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism to provide an abundance of goods for Bahrain’s citizens and residents in accordance with market needs.
It also instructed the ministry to continuously monitor commodity prices during this Holy Month of Ramadan. This came as HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace.
The Cabinet highlighted developments in the Bahrain Defence Force’s combat readiness and defense capabilities, noting the recent visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, to the Royal Bahrain Naval Force to inaugurate a number of warships.
To mark the International Day of Conscience, adopted by the United Nations in response to the initiative of the late His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, which falls annually on 5 April, the Cabinet affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain continues to adopt initiatives that strengthen compassion and global peace.
The Cabinet thanked Kingdom’s medical and health professionals for their honourable efforts and sacrifices in the service of the country to mark World Health Day. It noted that the medical workforce are appreciated for their continued efforts and sacrifices to provide the best healthcare in spite of various circumstances and challenges.
The Cabinet welcomed the decision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet in its recent session chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to authorise its Minister of Energy, or his respective representative, to discuss with their Bahraini counterpart a draft cooperation agreement between the government of both countries in the field of energy.
The Cabinet welcomed the announcement by the United Nations Special Envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, that a two-month armistice had been reached. It expressed their appreciation for the response of the leadership of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen and the Yemeni parties to the efforts of the UN envoy.
The armistice came as part of the initiative announced by Saudi Arabia in March 2021, to end the Yemeni crisis and reach a comprehensive political solution that guarantees the return of security and stability to the country
