The High Criminal Court has postponed the hearing of an Asian man accused of murdering his European lover until April 11, in order to allow his lawyer to obtain a copy of the official documents.
According to court files, the suspect had been in a relationship with the victim for two years after meeting her at an Adliya restaurant. They allegedly used to meet in her Mahooz apartment. However, issues obscured their love affair, and their disagreements worsened after they both lost their jobs.
On the day of the incident, they allegedly met at a party and drank excessively before returning to the woman’s apartment. They then had a fight following which he flung her out the apartment window of the fifth floor. She died as a result of the fall. He was charged with murder.
