Bahrain police honour citizen for returning lost envelope containing BD 12,900

Northern Governorate Police Director-General Brigadier General Issa Hassan Al-Qattan honoured Bahraini Younis Abdulnabi Hassan Muhammad Al-Sheikh for his honesty in handing over thousands of dinars he found in Al Malikyah area.
Al-Sheikh was shocked to find an envelope containing BD 12,900 from an area in Al Malikyah. However, without a second thought, he took the envelope and rushed to Southern Hamad Town Police Station in a bid to return the money to its legitimate owner, who would be frantically searching for the lost money.
Police have not yet revealed to whom the money belongs. In a statement, Brigadier-General praising Al-Sheikh said, “The man’s act indicates his good nature, honesty and sense of social and legal responsibility in such situations.”
The top cop also praised the role of the community members in serving society and their fruitful cooperation with the police. “Al-Sheikh’s selfless act emphasizes the importance of community partnership in social development,” said Al Qattan. The top cop also awarded him with a certificate of appreciation.
