Faraj shines in show jumping
Sabir Faraj riding Noor PDF (26.06 seconds) bagged the first place in the Bahrain Royal Endurance and Equestrian Federation (BREEF) Opening Season second training session Show Jumping Competition held last weekend at the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Equestrian Centre in Sakhir.
The two-phase first class competition was for both adult and junior riders over obstacles 80--95cm in height.
In second place, was Ahmed Mansoor on Edward Du Sud (27.40) and in third Abbas Al Ghuraifi on Champagne (30.31). In the second class two-phase competition over 100-115cm for adults and juniors, the winner was Sami Ghazwan on Fairouz (27.57), second was Ahmed Mansoor on Edward Du Sud (28.11) and third Ahmed Al Johrami on Evelyn.
The event was attended by BREEF member and Show Jumping Committee chairman Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
The opening competition of the new season will take place on November 14 with the BREEF Championship in Sakhir.
