20 submissions for Shaikh Nasser Awards
The executive office of this year’s edition of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Scientific Research Award in the field of sports has received nearly 20 submissions for the award.
The research works have come from four applicants from Bahrain and 15 from other parts of the Arab world. Deadlines for accepting the research submissions is August 31 next year.
General Secretary of the award committee, Dr Abdulrahman Sayyar, said that the inclusion of applicants from other Arab countries this year reflected the tremendous success of the award.
The second edition of the award aims to promote positive attitude towards scientific research and contribute to the development of the Kingdom’s sports movement.
According to the organisers, the award aims to encourage experts and researchers – locally and regionally – to conduct applied scientific research to develop improve the level of performance in sports.
This award targets all experts, researchers and sports-related authorities in Youth category (Local), aged 18 to 25 years and researchers (Local and Arab) of at least 25 years of age and above to conduct research in Sports Management, Sports Training and Sports Medicine.
