Drug case:Chinese man in the dock
The High Criminal Court has jailed a Chinese man for five years for promoting Shabu in Bahrain.
The 35-year-old man was sent for trial after being captured following a tip-off that he was selling illicit drugs in Manama.
Police investigations confirmed his illegal activities and an undercover agent was assigned to lure him into a sting operation.
The agent agreed to buy eight sachets of Shabu for BD600 and they met in Juffair. Suddenly, the police pounced on him when he gave the officer drugs.
The police also found 93 sachets of unlawful drugs in his possession.
