Bahrain, UAE call for boosting Arab unity to enhance joint Arab action

Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates yesterday reaffirmed their support for "joint Gulf action" to confront current challenges while stressing the need for Bahrain and UAE further bolster cooperation.
Joint Gulf action, within the GCC’s march, is necessary to confront current challenges and achieve progress and prosperity for the citizens of the GCC countries, said His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and UAE Armed Forces Deputy Supreme Commander His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
His Majesty and the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince stressed the importance of Arab unity and concerted efforts to achieve Arab solidarity and enhance the process of joint Arab action. Their highnesses further called for UAE and Bahrain to develop cooperation in economic, trade and investment sectors during talks at Sakhir Palace with His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
HM King and Shaikh Mohammed also explored opportunities to develop cooperation in technology, science, energy, renewable energy, environment, health and education and expand cooperation between the private sectors in both countries.
The leaders exchanged greetings on Ramadan, wishing their countries and peoples progress and prosperity, the Arab and Islamic nations and all people in the world stability and wellbeing. HM King and HH Shaikh Mohammed also reviewed Gulf and Arab issues and regional and international developments.
His Majesty took pride in strong fraternal relations binding Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, reflected in joint stances on different issues. HM King also hailed UAE's unwavering support to Bahrain and its people at different stages. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa recited a poem on this occasion.
