Citizens are at the core of Bahrain’s development plans led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, noted that the Economic Recovery Plan will assist with Bahrain’s recovery from the pandemic by creating promising opportunities for citizens.

The plan’s projects will grow vital sectors, increase Bahrain’s competitiveness, and create an open investment environment. HRH Prince Salman was speaking yesterday as he received several heads of Ramadan Majlises at Riffa Palace.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister exchanged congratulations with them on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan. He said that Ramadan enshrines the concepts of tolerance and solidarity, embodies togetherness, brotherhood, and societal interdependence, and establishes communication links between different groups and segments of society.

HRH Prince Salman highlighted Bahrain’s relentless coronavirus (COVID-19) mitigation efforts, which have prioritised the health of citizens and residents and protected the economy. He added that Bahrain’s comprehensive COVID-19 mitigation approach – which includes an Economic stimulus package – has alleviated the economic impact of the pandemic.

HRH Prince Salman recognised the concerted efforts of Team Bahrain and noted that Bahrain’s inclusivity, transparency, community spirit, and freedom of movement were key to a successful pandemic response.

HRH commented that the Kingdom will overcome challenges through unity as it recovers from the pandemic and builds towards a prosperous future.

“We were able to deal with all difficulties, and we will stand together to confront and overcome more challenges. Together we will move forward at a steady pace in the recovery phase towards a bright future,” HRH Prince Salman said.

His Royal Highness stated that Bahrain’s efforts to combat the coronavirus have been focused on two tracks from the start: the first is to protect society from health impacts, and the second is to protect society from economic repercussions. The Kingdom has prioritised citizens’ and residents’ health, business continuity, and coping with the economic consequences of the pandemic.
