Giving wings to their creative skills, many students of Britus International School Special Education (BISSE) took part in cultural programmes conducted at the school as part of Gergaoun event.

Enthusiastic parents and teachers at the school were overwhelmed to see their children showcasing their talent and spirit at the event.

BISSE is a leading special education provider in the Kingdom, serving students, catering to a broad range of special needs, which include general learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorder, communication disorders, physical disabilities, special learning disabilities such as dyslexia, Down syndrome and other genetic or neurodevelopmental.

Speaking to The Daily Tribune, Darren Coxen, Britus Education Chief Operating Officer, said BISSE is a school with a big heart.

“What we offer here is lots of care, lots of love and lots of support. We are a school that takes care of students as well as their parents.”

He said the school has been exerting best efforts to ensure a perfect learning environment for the children, suiting the level of their requirements.

“Being comfortable in the classroom itself is the most important thing for children, for whom accessing learning is often a hard task. “We focus on their levels of learning needs and provide a safe environment. We teach them how to be independent, how to look after themselves.

“Providing the students with a feeling that they would be able to look after themselves is the top priority of our curriculum. Because when they get older they will have more control over their lives.

“Apart from these, they also learn many subjects including English, Maths and Science.” He said BISSE has the best special education teachers in the Kingdom.

“They come here because they want to work with this particular type of child. Working with children having special educational needs can be challenging and what is important is to have patience.

“I spent a lot of time in classrooms and all I see is huge patience from the teachers. With huge patience and huge care, they are in frequent efforts to learn more about the children. This is the best school in Bahrain if your children require some extra support.”
