Nass hails US as main trade partner for Bahrain

Bahrain Chamber for Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Chairman Sameer Nass has hailed the historical relations between Bahrain and the US as well the steadily growing trade. This came as Nass received the American Ambassador to Bahrain, Steven C.Bondy.
The BCCI head pointed out that the bilateral relations exceeded $2 billion in 2021, and highlighted the potential to expand partnerships and encourage more investments. He stressed the importance of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Bahrain and the US, noting the need to capitalise it, particularly by encouraging and empowering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to engage in trade activities.
Nass highlighted the promising opportunities in the aluminum downstream industry, and voiced the keenness of the BCCI on liaising with the embassy to raise awareness about business opportunities in both countries. Easing of the visa requirements and expanding exchange programmes were discussed.
