Press Day throws light on the pandemic battle: Information Affairs Minister

Bahrain Press Day this year provides us with an opportunity to recall the patriotic and honourable role of the Press in boosting the pandemic battle, said Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi, the Information Affairs Minister. In a statement marking the occasion, the minister said that this year’s Bahrain Press Day comes amidst the Kingdom’s ongoing recovery from the repercussions of the novel Coronavirus pandemic.
“Thanks to the successful efforts of Team Bahrain, led by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the occasion has become an opportunity to recall the patriotic and honourable stance of Bahraini press and media institutions in the fight against the pandemic,” the minister said. Al-Romaihi further affirmed the constant support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman in consolidating the Press and media freedom.
The Information Minister expressed pride in the rich history of journalism and its keenness to play a constructive role in nation-building. The minister added: “Press is contributing to various development in the Kingdom and defending the gains of the nation and its people, as well as taking advantage of the ongoing digital revolution to continue playing its noble role with accuracy, professionalism, impartiality and responsibility.”
