Sculptures from a land far, far away!

If you’re attending the 2015 Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, make sure you visit the art space tent, where avant-grade American sculptor Dennis Hoyt displays a number of his finest art pieces.

Speaking to DT News, Hoyt said he had practiced sculpturing using different materials for the past 30 years.

“I’ve been a sculptor almost all of my life. Lately, I thought about working on cars and exceed people’s expectations, when it comes to sculptures. Hence, I started working on wooden car sculptures, which is the first of its kind in the contemporary art,” Hoyt stated.

Hoyt’s artworks are actual reflections of real motorsports events, instruments and vehicles. Behind each piece, there will be a small explanation about its history. He also explained that it took him six to twelve months to create them.

Speaking about his experience of visiting Bahrain, Hoyt said he was exhibiting his art outside the United States for the first time.

He also said would come back the next year with new astonishing pieces for Bahrain International Circuit visitors
