The Russian aggression against Ukraine has reinforced European unity, said Jerome Cauchard, the Ambassador of France to Bahrain.

He also added that the European Union recently approved a strategic compass.

“This strategic compass gives the EU, at a time when we witness the return of war in Europe, an ambitious plan of concrete and actionable measures to strengthen its security and defence policy by 2030,” stressed Cauchard.

His comments came during the Europe Day celebrations held at the Bahrain National Theatre, where many personalities from the Bahraini and European community and members of the diplomatic corps gathered.
