HRH Prince Salman highlights importance of strengthening Bahrain-US ties

The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has affirmed the importance of further developing Bahrain-US military and defence ties to benefit regional security, stability and peace.
HRH Prince Salman highlighted the depth of the bilateral relations and the importance of advancing cooperation and joint coordination across all levels as he received yesterday the newly appointed Commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), General Michael Erik Kurilla, at Riffa Palace.
His Royal Highness congratulated Gen. Kurilla on his appointment and wished him success in carrying out his duties. The latest regional and international developments and issues of common interest were also discussed.
Present in the meeting were the Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee, HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and the Bahrain Defence Force’s Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi.
