A big boost for Bahrain-UK ties

The Cabinet has commended the outcomes of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s visit to the UK and Northern Ireland to attend the Royal Windsor Horse Show, at the invitation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
At the weekly Cabinet meeting chaired yesterday by the Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, it noted the importance of the meeting held between Their Majesties, which follows the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting and strengthening the historical relations between the two countries.
The Cabinet expressed their best wishes to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of her accession to the throne. The Cabinet expressed its heartfelt condolences following the passing of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and recalled his efforts in bolstering GCC cooperation, and his active dedication to public service and furthering the UAE’s comprehensive development.
It said that the Arab and Islamic world have lost an outstanding leader. The Cabinet congratulated the President of the UAE, His Highness Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on his election as President, and wished him success in continuing to lead the UAE towards further growth and development, and to continue the path of nation’s founder, the late His Highness Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
