HRH Prince Salman affirms growing Bahrain-Iraq ties in oil and gas sector

The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has highlighted the strength of relations between Bahrain and Iraq and the importance of further developing ties, particularly within the oil and gas industry, to achieve joint development goals.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister was speaking as he met yesterday with the Minister of Oil of the Republic of Iraq, Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar Ismaael, at Gudaibiya Palace. HRH the Deputy King highlighted the oil and gas sector’s importance as a means of economic diversification that aids development goals.
He welcomed Ismaael to the Kingdom of Bahrain as he is scheduled to participate in the 29th Annual Middle East Petroleum & Gas Conference. The Deputy King also expressed his wish for the conference to contribute to the overcoming of global oil and gas challenges.
Ismaael expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness and highlighted his commitment to furthering Bahrain-Iraq ties. The Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee, HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the meeting.
