Businessman ordered to pay BD4,000 for unpaid rent in Muharraq

The High Administrative Court ordered a food and beverage store to pay BD4,000 to the Muharraq Municipality after failing to cover rental fees for three years.
The defendant is accused of signing a lease with the Municipality but failing to meet his financial obligations from 2013 to 2016.
The Court said in its ruling that contracts are subject to the general principle of law, and so must be implemented in a manner consistent with what requires good faith.
It added that any contract must be executed in accordance with what is included in its conditions that define the rights and obligations of parties in accordance with the terms agreed upon.
