Bahrain-Brazil relations strengthened by agreements and diplomatic visits: HRH Prince Salman

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister, has emphasised the steady growth of relations between Bahrain and Brazil.

HRH Prince Salman said that the bilateral ties and cooperation across various fields continue to receive the support of both His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, and Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro.

His Royal Highness was speaking as he received yesterday the Special Secretary for Strategic Affairs of the Presidency of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Admiral Flavio Augusto Viana Rocha, at Riffa Palace.

HRH noted that Bahrain-Brazil relations have been strengthened over the years by agreements, memoranda of understanding and diplomatic visits. He highlighted the importance of furthering relations across vital sectors to serve common interests.

The latest regional and international developments and issues of common interest were also discussed. Admiral Rocha conveyed President Bolsonaro’s greetings to HM the King and to His Royal Highness.

In return, His Royal Highness conveyed His Majesty’s greetings to President Bolsonaro, in which His Majesty wished him and the citizens of Brazil continued progress and prosperity.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister commended President Bolsonaro’s commitment to furthering cooperation with Bahrain to benefit both countries. Admiral Rocha expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with the Deputy Supreme Commander, and noted His Royal Highness’ commitment to developing bilateral relations between Bahrain and Brazil.

The meeting was also attended by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the Bahrain Defence Force’s (BDF) Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi.
