Philippine School holds Moving Up Ceremonies

Philippine School Bahrain successfully held its Moving Up Ceremonies on May 14 at The Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel Diplomatic Area, Manama. The Commencement Ceremonies comprised the completion of four educational stages in the K to 12 Basic Education Program: Kindergarten Program, Elementary Education Program, Junior High School Program and Senior High School Program.

The Kindergarten completers, together with their parents, proudly received their certificates and awards. Maicy Johanna P. Carillo, Paris Alexandria F. Noguera, Joshua Demyr S. Valencia, Quinn Hailey M. Llander, Joseph Patrick C. Lim, Clarissadel O. Escal, Jelaine Trisha R. Camila represented the learners in different levels in expressing their sincere gratitude to the school leaders, parents, teachers and to the Filipino Community and affirming resilience that has been developed through their education at PSB. The ceremonies for Kindergarten, Grade Six and Grade 10 concluded with the awarding of completion certificates and recognizing students’ achievement.

The highlight of the day’s occasion was the Grade 12 Graduation Ceremony which marked the culmination of their journey in basic education. Ralph Gabriel C. Candare (ABM) and Jerome Jocel R. Camila (STEM) expressed their sincere gratefulness to all who have been a part of the successful result of their hard work.

Ms. Daphne Ruth G. Villafuerte, an alumna and the Class Valedictorian of Class 2010 shared her words of wisdom which inspired and challenged the 41 graduates of Batch 2022 to be resilient while they carry with them the value of courage and integrity. She also pointed out that some of the traits or characteristics that make a person resilient are self-awareness, optimism in the face of adversity and open-mindedness to understand circumstances in life in order to discover new ways to succeed.

The school confirmed the students’ graduation through the ceremonial donning of stoles and conferring of high school diplomas. It also recognised their achievements by awarding medals and certificates.
