His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has stressed the importance of resolving the Russian-Ukranian conflict in a way that achieves the interests of the two neighbouring countries and the security and stability of the European continent, as well as international peace and security.
HM the King underlined the need to engage in dialogue and diplomatic solutions in accordance with the rules of international law to reach a political settlement that ends the conflict, guarantees security and peace for all parties, preserves the lives of civilians, and delivers humanitarian and relief aid. for refugees and displaced persons.
He was speaking as he received yesterday Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who arrived on a visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain at Al Sakhir Palace, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Lavrov conveyed to HM the King greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin, wishing Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity.
