The High Appeals Court has revised the punishments issued against two men who were involved in the formation of a criminal organisation that incited maids to leave from the sponsors by providing them fake employment opportunities.

The duo were earlier sentenced to 10 years in prison, but they will now serve life in prison after the High Appeals Court decided to increase their punishment. According to court files, the two locked up some of their victims and forced them into prostitution, while others were sold to other men like they were goods.

It was discovered that the organisation was landing their victims in their net by unreal job offers that pay mouth-watering salaries in a clearing company as well as restaurants. They were catching their victims by communicating with them on social media. The pair is said to have also raped a woman.

As a result, the High Appeals Court decided, after reviewing the crimes they committed, to increase the sentences issued against them.
