HM King Hamad issues decree organising Electricity and Water Affairs Ministry

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday issued Royal Decree (22) of 2022, organising the Electricity and Water Affairs Ministry, as follows:

The Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs shall be responsible for:

First: The Director-General of Energy Efficiency (with the rank of Assistant Undersecretary), who shall oversee:

1. The Directorate of Energy Efficiency and Central Cooling;

2. The Directorate of Renewable Energy and Research.

Second: The Directorate of Public and International Relations.

The Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs shall implement the decree, which takes immediate effect and will be published in the Official Gazette.

HM King Hamad also issued Royal Decree (23) of 2022, organising the Secretariat-General of the Higher Education Council, as follows:

The Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council (with the rank of Undersecretary) is responsible for:

The Assistant Secretary-General (with the rank of Assistant Undersecretary), who shall oversee:

1. The Directorate of Research and Policies;

2. The Directorate of Academic Services;

3. The Directorate of Accreditation and Licensing.

The Minister of Education shall implement the decree, which becomes effective immediately, and will be published in the Official Gazette.
