Bahrain working closely with partners to help end Yemen crisis: Speaker

Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal has praised the strong ties between Bahrain and Yemen and their steady progress across several areas. The Speaker affirmed the keenness of Bahrain, under the leadership of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, on the security and stability of Yemen, and its support to achieve the aspirations of the Yemenis for stability, security, progress and prosperity.

During talks with a Yemeni parliamentary delegation headed by the Chairman of the Shura Council Dr. Ahmed Abid bin Daghr, Zainal said that Bahrain is working closely with regional and international partners to end the Yemeni crisis through diplomatic means.

Such a comprehensive political solution will achieve peace, development and prosperity for Yemen and its people, in accordance with the constitution, the GCC initiative and its executive mechanism, she said.

The Yemeni Chairman hailed Bahrain's stances and support of Yemen and its interest in its security, stability and development. The meeting covered ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, the latest political and security developments in Yemen, the efforts exerted within the framework of the United Nations endeavors to reach a political solution, the latest developments in the Arab world and matters of shared interest.
