No, that is not an accident! The viral video, which generated thousands of views, is not what it appears to be, as confirmed by the General Traffic Department.
Of course, the footage is genuine, but what is fake is what it claims. Officials said this after investigating a viral video claiming to show a differently-abled man who sustained injuries in a traffic accident.
The video further claims that the driver of the car, who caused the accident, abandoned the victim without taking care of him. The video also shows the hapless man sitting on the road pleading for help.
“After investigation and visiting the injured person in the hospital, the department found that the incident was not true,” the statement said. The statement also clarified that the man sustained injuries from a fall, not from an accident as claimed in the video.
“The person sustained an injury due to a fall while walking on the road,” the statement said. “The incident has nothing to do with any traffic accident,” confirmed the officials.
