Works Ministry announced linking Muharraq Treated water plan to the East Hidd City.
The new line, minister Khalaf said, will supply treated water to city and irrigation projects, in line with Bahrain’s target to double the number of trees in the Kingdom by 2035.
“Works were in partnership with the private sector,” the minister said, adding that the rest of the areas in the Muharraq will be connected soon.
The volume of water required in the East Hidd region currently reaches 650 cubic meters per day, which will rise to 2,300 cubic meters per day after the completion of East Hidd city.
The project benefits the residential city of East Hidd and the rest of the Muharraq.
The BD 4.5 million projects, which supply treated water from the Muharraq plant to the Diyar Al Muharraq reservoir, extend over a length of 14 km.
