Six students from Al Istiqlal Secondary Girls School designed a digital, educational, entertaining, and advisory prototype application for people of determination.
The application includes videos, photos, and stories that allow users to interact and highlight their talents and capabilities.
"This application represents a useful digital library for people with autism, deafness, color blindness, and visual impairment and presents a variety of stories in Arabic and English and is equipped with translation into sign language," Maryam Hussain Ali, one of the designers, said.
“The application includes "write your own story" feature that stimulates the talents and abilities of users and provides a variety of focus activities included within the stories with a special section for medical consultations that enables users to communicate with a selection of qualified specialists."
Basmalah Abdel Hamid, another student designer, pointed out that engaging in the scientific experiment with humanitarian goals opened wide horizons in thinking outside the box, creativity, scientific research, planning, designing, and formulating digital content.
“We will work hard to see this application form with all the characteristics we planned and with the search for support for the project specialized in this field,” Retaj Osama Zaman, another student, said.
“We look forward to cooperating with specialized centers such as the Student Welfare Centre and we aspire to provide content in multiple languages suitable for more than one age group with training courses related to application pioneers such as learning sign language, and training programs that help understand this group to facilitate its integration into society."
