The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Bahrain’s strong condemnation of the two terrorist attacks that took place in Afghanistan, targeting a mosque in the northern city of Kunduz, and a Sikh temple in the capital, Kabul, resulting in the death and injury of a number of innocent civilians.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Bahrain’s denunciation of such criminal acts, which aim to destabilise security and intimidate safe civilians in contradiction of all religious principles and moral and humanitarian values.

It also expressed the solidarity of the Kingdom with the brotherly Afghan people, and extended sincere condolences to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery for all the injured.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its call for the need to intensify international efforts to eliminate extremist terrorist organisations, dry up their financial and intellectual sources, and work jointly to promote the culture of peace and tolerance.
