Worshippers thank PM
Hundreds of worshippers at a mosque in Manama organised a gathering following the Friday prayers to express their gratitude to the Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, who instructed to establish more facilities at the mosque last week.
MP Abdulwahed Qarata, who led the gathering in front of Al Faooq Mosque, stated that the Premier’s concern about the needs of citizens have always been at a place of appreciation.
“We stand here today to thank HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa for instructing to acquire the surrounding lands of the mosque to establish facilities for worshippers, such as parking lots.
As reported earlier by DT News, the Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa instructed to halt the ongoing construction works in the vicinity of Al Farooq Mosque, after worshippers complained about the lack of space in the area.
The Premier had visited the mosque in Manama last week to personally stand on the requirements of worshippers at the mosque.
During the Cabinet meeting last Monday, the Premier directed the Ministerial Committee for Urbanisation and Infrastructure to study the acquisition of lands that serve worshippers, who attend AlFarooq Mosque in Manama, as well as the people who use the facilities in the mosque’s vicinity.
The panel was also directed to study the creation of more entry paths to the area in coordination with Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments
Ministries.
