Bahrain, Egypt to boost strategic cooperation

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi reviewedthe solid fraternal Bahrain-Egypt relations, and ways to bolster the strategic cooperation between the two countries for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.

HM the King held official talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi who arrived in Bahrain yesterday. His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, attended the session of talks, held at Al Sakhir Palace.

HM King Hamad and President Al Sisi expressed their pride in the long-standing ties between Bahrain and Egypt and in their robust joint cooperation, confirming their keenness to broaden areas of bilateral cooperation. The Egyptian leader expressed his delight at the visit which, he said, confirms the depth of the fraternal relations and interconnectedness between the two countries.

He said: “We are always keen on holding such meetings in order to enhance cooperation between our two brotherly countries across various fields.” His Majesty welcomed the visit of the kingdom’s distinguished guest, reflecting the specificity of the outstanding bilateral relations and embodying the keenness of the two countries’ leaderships on constant communication, coordination and consultation on various regional issues of mutual interest so as to the interests of the two countries and the issues of the Arab Nation.

He commended the major role played by the Egyptian expatriate community in Bahrain, citing their competence and contributions to the kingdom’s development process, affirming that the deep-rooted Bahraini-Egyptian relations will continue to flourish.

HM the King lauded the pioneering progress march currently witnessed by Egypt, thanks to the approach adopted by President Al Sisi, praising Egypt’s numerous vital projects and landmark achievements across various fields.

HM King Hamad also praised Egypt’s pivotal role, as the cornerstone of security and stability in the region, highlighting its commendable efforts in championing the Arab causes and enhancing joint Arab action in the face of the challenges faced by the region.
