Capital Governorate committee discusses preparations for Ashoora season

The Capital Governorate’s Security Committee discussed the security and services arrangements for Ashoora season to ensure celebrating the occasion in a safe and secure atmosphere. This came during the committee’s first meeting which was chaired by Capital Governor Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, in the presence of representatives from the security directorates at the Interior Ministry.
The committee recommended coordination between the Capital Governorate, the security and services parties, the Jafari Endowments Directorate, the General Authority of Hussaini processions and Heads of the Central Processions to assess the organisational needs and map out plans to ensure a secure environment for the mourners and visitors.
The Capital Governor was briefed through a visual presentation about the security arrangements for the Ashoora season. The committee also discussed proposals to alleviate traffic congestions and organise traffic in the surrounding areas of the mourning processions.
