Preserve Wadi Al Buhair ecological areas: Bahrain CP & PM

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday directed that the ecological areas in Wadi Al Buhair that contain terrain and rocky hills, be considered a nature reserve.
He called on the relevant authorities to take the necessary ministerial measures and decisions to ensure the preservation of the area. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister further directed the relevant authorities to continue their urban and infrastructure development in the Wadi Al Buhair area, while taking into consideration the preservation of its protected areas.
His Royal Highness affirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to preserving and developing areas of natural and historic value, to support its role as a tourist attraction.
Directives hailed
HRH Prince Salman’s directives were hailed by Works Minister Ibrahim bin Hasan Al Hawaj.
In a statement yesterday, he announced that the ministry will take all measures to continue development and infrastructure projects in Wadi Al Buhair in coordination with all partners, taking into account nature reserves in the area.
“The ministry will continue implementing HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s directives, aimed at promoting the process of developing the infrastructure in line with the construction boom and providing the best services,” said.
He stressed that infrastructure development and urban expansion make the preservation of environmental landmarks, natural areas and geographical diversity a priority, in accordance with the government’s vision to achieve sustainable development goals and in line with 2030 Bahrain Vision.
