HM King Hamad invited by Egypt to attend summit

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a letter from Egypt President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, including an invitation to His Majesty to attend the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 27) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) which will be hosted by Egypt in Sharm El-Sheikh in November.
The letter was handed over by Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain Yasser Mohammed Ahmed Shaban during a meeting with His Majesty at Safriya Palace yesterday.
HM the King expressed thanks and appreciation to the Egyptian President for the invitation, praising distinguished and deep-rooted fraternal relations between both countries and peoples. He also commended the advanced level of bilateral cooperation at all levels.
HM the King lauded the pivotal role of Egypt at the regional and international level and its contributions to serving humanity. He wished Egypt every success in hosting the summit and reaching positive results to support the international efforts to tackle climate change.
