HM King Hamad presented with miniature model of Orthodox Church

Bahrain-Russian Friendship and Business Society presented His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa with a miniature model of the Orthodox Church yesterday, planned in Bahrain, during a meeting at Al Safriya Palace.

Dr George Al-Zuraikat, Chairman of the Bahraini-Russian Friendship and Business Society, and Anatoly Mitrochin, Vice-Chairman, told HM King, said the church, distinguished by its verticality, bright colours and multiple domes, will be built in Bahrain.

HM King thanked the society members for the gift, stressing Bahrain’s respect for all religions without discrimination. “Bahrain has for many decades embraced and respected all people of religions without discrimination,” HM King said during the meeting marking the establishment of the Society.

HM King said Bahrain and Russia enjoy close historical ties and are keen to further develop them at all levels King Hamad thanked the association for its efforts to boost bilateral relations, trade, economic, investment and cultural cooperation, wishing the association continued success.

Dr Al Zuraikat thanked His Majesty for the warm reception and cooperation between the two friendly countries.
