Bahrain made its debut at the Royal International Air Tattoo 2022 yesterday with Bahrain’s landing its C-130J for a static display.
“We all love a Herc, so great to see 3 different air arms send either static or support examples," tweeted RIAT 2022. "A nice couple of #RIAT22 arrivals with a smart Omani C-295MPA and Bahrain making their RIAT debut with a C-130J Super Hercules military transport aircraft," said another tweet.
The C-130J is a comprehensive update of the Lockheed C-130 Hercules, with new engines, flight deck, and other systems. The show, kick-started yesterday and ends on Sunday, expects 170,000 visitors, said Air Tattoo in a statement.
Visitors will enjoy the thrilling sights and sounds of several hundred aircraft of all shapes and sizes, from all eras and countries of the world. Bahrain joins the show as the 57th nation at RIAT2022, which is also celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
