The National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) has organised a workshop on permits to use medical devices in health facilities, including hospitals, centres, clinics, and others. The event’s aim was to enhance the awareness of stakeholders in those facilities about the legal and safe use of medical devices.

It was organised at the headquarters of the “NGN” global company for integrated information systems in the World Trade Tower in Manama. Participants included Engineers Omar Ismail Abdullah and Talal Abdullah Al Hamri, who gave an explanation on how to verify the compliance of medical devices with the competencies of the health facility and international quality and safety standards.

The workshop shed lights on the medical devices and equipment including all products that are used in the field of health care for diagnosis, prevention, control or treatment of diseases or disabilities that are not achieved through pharmacological, immunological or metabolic means.
