Indonesia’s Maumere dances to take central stage at Bahrain Summer Festival

Traditional Indonesian dances will on Monday evening take central stage at the Cultural Hall as fans continue to enjoy the iconic Summer Festival.
The cultural show, hosted in collaboration with the Indonesian embassy in Bahrain, showcases the famous Maumere dances.
The show conveys a part of Indonesia’s intangible heritage and multiple traditional dances enriched by the large numbers of ethnicities and local tribes that reside along the archipelago.
The Summer Festival, in its 14th edition, has been a source of well-known international cultural shows and events thanks to the outstanding participation of several countries, including Saudi Arabia, the US, Indonesia, Korea, Palestine, the United Arab Emirates, India, Thailand and Pakistan, with their diplomatic missions in Manama providing tremendous contributions and support.
