Bahrain is taking a special path in building national capacities and investing in the energies and capabilities of youth, the Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs has said.

Ayman bin Tawfiq Al Moayyed said that Bahrain’s distinguished policy is evident through the initiatives of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, for the empowerment of youth.

This has made the Kingdom a global model in empowering youth and preparing them to have a crucial role in shaping Bahrain's future, he said.

The decision of HH Shaikh Nasser to set up the Youth Empowerment Committee in the public and private sectors is the basis for all his initiatives, he added.

HH Shaikh Nasser believes that moving forward towards a brighter future for the Kingdom is through investment in youth energies, qualifying them to participate in various national work stations, supporting them to be an integral part of the decision-making process and listening to their views and reflections, the minister said.

Al Moayyed said he was optimistic that the committee will have very positive effects for young Bahrainis to consolidate their work status.

The committee will contribute to empowering young people in public and private sector institutions, looking for good training opportunities, scholarship and career advancement possibilities in line with their abilities and ambitions, he said.

The committee will enhance the opportunities to achieve their aspirations, listen to their ideas and engage them in development processes in both sectors, he added.
