HM King Hamad amends BDF pension fund law provisions

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday issued Decree-Law (31) of 2022. The decree-law amends some provisions of Decree-Law (6) of 1991 on the establishment of a Pension Fund for Bahraini and Non-Bahraini Officers and Personnel at the Bahrain Defence Force and Public Security Force.

It also amends some provisions of Decree-Law (47) of 2010 on the Management and Competencies of the Pension Fund for Bahraini and Non-Bahraini Officers and Personnel at the Bahrain Defence Force and Public Security Force, established as per Decree-Law (6) of 1991.

The BDF Commander-in-Chief, the National Guard Commander, the National Security Adviser, the Minister of Interior, the National Security Agency Chief, and the Strategic Security Agency Chief- each in his capacity – shall issue the necessary edicts to implement the provisions of this decree-law.

Article (3) of Decree-Law (6) of 1991 on the establishment of a Pension Fund for Bahraini and Non-Bahraini Officers and Personnel at the Bahrain Defence Force and Public Security Force shall be abrogated. Any text that conflicts the provisions of this decree-law shall also be repealed.
