Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities presidency handover held amid gratitude, tribute

Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA)’s newly-appointed President Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa has stressed his determination to continue the unremitting efforts to develop the culture and antiquities sector and to achieve further successes for Bahrain regionally and internationally.

This will be done in a manner that achieves the goals of the comprehensive development process under the leadership of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the follow-up of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, he added.

Shaikh Khalifa was speaking as met with the outgoing president of BACA and founder and president of the Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Research for the handover of the presidency.

Shaikh Khalifa praised Shaikha Mai’s achievements in culture, arts, preservation of cultural heritage, world heritage and promoting cultural infrastructure.

He commended her outstanding efforts in highlighting Bahrain’s rich heritage and various civilizations as well as the openness of its people.

Shaikha Mai congratulated Shaikh Khalifa on his appointment, thanked all the BACA staff for their commitment to serving Bahrain and praised their dedication, competence and devotion to elevating the cultural status of Bahrain across the globe.
