The Southern Municipality, in partnership with the Royal Hospital for Women and Children, planted 200 seedlings of various types of local trees in the hospital’s main facade. Present were the engineers of the Parks and Gardens Department of the municipality and a number of hospital officials.

This event is a continuation of the municipality’s initiative to plant trees in health centres and hospitals in all southern regions, as part of a larger effort to strengthen community partnerships with all governmental and private agencies in order to intensify and expand green spaces in all locations. Various agricultural seedlings were planted by the attendees during the event.

The hospital management expressed gratitude to the Southern Municipality for its efforts and continuous participation in the work of agriculture and afforestation with the goal of increasing the green area and adding aesthetic touches to the region. The municipality thanked the hospital management for their ongoing support of its efforts and plans to intensify agricultural and shrub projects in all of the southern region’s streets and squares.

As a first step, the municipality has begun implementing its agricultural initiative in collaboration with primary health care centres represented in the cultivation of outdoor spaces for the Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Center, Hamad Kanoo Health Center, Yousef Engineer Health Center, and Madinat Khalifa Health Center, with plans to expand this initiative to all hospitals and centres in the region.
