The Indian Community Relief Fund, LMRA hold labour awareness event at Indian Club

Labour Market Regulatory Authority in the Kingdom is duty bound to ensure and protect the rights of workers, said a top LMRA official. We remain “employee-friendly”, Shereen Khalil Al Saati, the Director of Grievances and Protection at LMRA, said, while adding, “our team is there to ensure that rights are protected.”
He also assured that the doors of LMRA remain open 24 hours. “LMRA is open 24 hours, and people with issues can reach us by calling 995,” he said. Al Saati was speaking during an interactive event held at Indian Club this Friday. Piyush Srivastava, Ambassador of India to Bahrain, chaired the awareness-spreading event for the Indian expatriate community on labour issues.
Over 200 people participated in the event organised by the Indian Community Relief Fund in coordination with LMRA. Ravishankar Shukhla - Second Secretary at the Embassy of India, Seddiqa Kadhem – Senior Public Relations Specialist and Zainab from LMRA were present.
Other participants include ICRF Chairman Dr Babu Ramachandran, vice Chairman Adv. V K Thomas, General Secretary Pankaj Nallur, Advisors Aruldas Thomas, Bhagwan Asarpota, members: Suresh Babu, K T Salim, Muralikrishnan, Javad Pasha, Clifford Correa, Siraj, Nasser Manjeri, Subair Kannur, Pankaj Malik, Sunil Kumar, Sivakumar, Sudheer Thirunilath, Rajeevan, Hari, Noushad, Indian Club President K M Cherian, Vice President Sany Paul Kolengadan, community members, and employers.
