Tourism Minister hails Bahraini women contributions in country’s prosperity

Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaffer Al Sairafi expressed her congratulations to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) on the 21st anniversary of the establishment of the SCW.
She praised the ability of the SCW to implement the directives of HRH Princess Sabeeka to launch initiatives that promote the progress of Bahraini women in various fields. The minister stressed the ministry’s keenness to contribute to the national efforts aimed at the advancement of women and to actively engage in various initiatives and programs.
Al Sairafi said that the percentage of women in the ministry reached 47%, of whom 39% are in leadership positions, which indicates keenness to support both sexes in the tourism sector and create the appropriate environment to attract more Bahraini women.
