The High Criminal Court has begun hearing the case of a young Bahraini man accused of attacking his wife and breaking her little finger. As per police records, an argument broke out between the couple while they were at home. The 28-year-old suspect kicked her, and the victim tried to protect herself with her hands.
Her little finger was broken during the tussle. He later took her to the hospital, and urgent surgery was needed to treat the injury. Although the surgery was a success, the medical report suggested that the woman suffered a permanent disability. During questioning, the man confessed to attacking his wife, and was charged with physical assault and causing permanent disability to his wife.
