Bahrain-Israel space science cooperation

Bahrain and Israel reviewed a potential cooperation in the field of space, including its sciences and applications.

This came following a meeting between National Space Science Agency (NSSA) Chief Executive Officer of the, Dr Mohammed Ibrahim Al Asiri, and the Bahraini Ambassador to the State of Israel, Khalid Yousif Al Jalahma.

Dr Al Asiri made a brief presentation on the kingdom’s space policy and NSSA’s strategic plan 2018-2023, as well as present and future projects.

He thanked the Ambassador for his keenness to meet NSSA to be informed closely about its role in achieving sustainable development goals, wishing him every success in undertaking the diplomatic tasks entrusted to him, to bolster cooperation between Bahrain and Israel across various fields, including space.

Ambassador Al Jalahma expressed thanks to NSSA for the efforts it is exerting to develop the space sector in the kingdom, noting that its achievements are a source of pride for all Bahrainis.

He also affirmed his readiness to support NSSA’s efforts in a way that would enable it to achieve its primary goals of placing the kingdom among leading countries in the space field.
